Christine Dobrowolski, DPM
Christine
Dobrowolski is the author of Those Aching Feet - The Revised Edition:
Your Guide to Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Foot Problem (ISBN:
096546122X). Christine grew up in Carmichael, California. She attended
Del Campo High
School and graduated as a valedictorian. She received her undergraduate
degree
in biochemistry from the University of California at Davis in 1992. Sustaining
many sports related foot injuries throughout her life, Christine
decided to specialize
in foot and ankle problems. She
earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine (DPM) in 1996 from
The California College of Podiatric Medicine (CCPM) in San Francisco.
During her training she traveled to hospitals throughout the
country,
including Deaconess Hospital in Boston, University of Texas Medical
Center in San Antonio, Highland Hospital in Oakland, University
of Southern California County Hospital in Los Angeles and the
Veterans Administration Hospitals in Denver and Loma Linda. She then
completed
two years of residency training in foot and ankle surgery at
Western Medical Center in Santa Ana and Kaiser Foundation Hospital
in Walnut
Creek.
Dr. Dobrowolski has
published articles in The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and The
Lower Extremity. She also co-authored a chapter in McGlamery's
Comprehensive Textbook of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Most
recently, Dr. Dobrowolski completed her Master’s Degree in
Nutrition. She is currently in private practice in Eureka, California.
When she is not at
her private practice, Redwood
Podiatry Group in Eureka, California, Christine also manages Northcoast
Footcare, an online specialty store providing quality medical
products to relieve common foot problems.
Dr. Dobrowolski has
remained active, participating in a variety of sports. She considers
mountain biking and back country skiing to be her favorite sports,
but also enjoys rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and surfing.
She has run multiple races including half and full marathons and she
is no stranger to foot and ankle problems. She wanted to write a book
to help others prevent as well as treat problems of the foot and ankle.
